Trumpet Vine (Campsis radicans) is a great perennial vine for northern gardeners. Require strong support structure as they get quite heavy. Mature specimens make for nice winter interest. Five Leaf Akebia (Akebia quinata) is a vigorous spreading and climbing vine with colorful, bluish-green foliage. Treasured for its fragrant purple flowers, akebia is a great cover for arbors and other garden structures. Semi-evergreen in warmer areas.
