There are very few plants which can survive for a long time with no water. The following is a list of plants which are tolerant of dry conditions, though they do prefer adequate water.

Keep the soil aerated…
by occasionally cultivating you garden flower gardens.
Pick and handle your vegetables…
carefully as nicks, cuts, or bruises result in a shorter shelf life.
Aerating compacted garden soil…
allows water and nutrients to reach a plant’s deep roots.
Be sure strip the foliage…
off of cut flowers when using in arrangements.
Try to buy plants that were…
grown in your hardiness zone. They’ll more than likely thrive.
